Tánaiste Mary Harney said this morning that Aer Lingus will get the investment it deserves to progress into the future.
She was questioned in the Dáil about the findings in the Goldman Sachs consultants’ report, which recommends a part-privatisation of the State airline.
Tánaiste Harney said Aer Lingus will be given the equity it needs to help expand its fleet and services, grow employment, and increase access to more routes for business and tourism.
Meanwhile the Minister for Transport Martin Cullen will meet with unions at Aer Lingus following the publication of the consultant's report. Minister Cullen says he will take into consideration the recommendations made in the report when making a decision on the airline's future.
