Police in the North are continuing to question a 34-year-old man arrested yesterday in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing.

Police in the North are continuing to question a 34-year-old man arrested yesterday in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing.

The man was arrested yesterday in the south Down area, but the PSNI has disclosed no further details about his detention.

He is being questioned about the Real IRA car bombing that killed 29 people in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on August 15, 1998.

A 36-year-old man from south Armagh is currently facing dozens of charges connected to the atrocity, including 29 murder charges.
