The body of a man has been recovered from a river at the University of Ulster in Coleraine.

The body of a man has been recovered from a river at the University of Ulster in Coleraine.

He was taken from the water near Cromore Road, behind a building on the campus, after he was discovered by staff this morning, a UU spokesman said.

The PSNI are at the scene.

A UU spokesman said: “University of Ulster staff this morning discovered the body of a man at the rear of the Cavehill building on the campus.

“Police are investigating and we have no further details at present.”

The PSNI said the alarm was raised at around 9.10am.
