IFA salaries may not be revealed due to confidentiality agreements
Confidentiality agreements could prevent the salaries of senior staff at the IFA from being revealed, according to a solicitor.
Pay levels could be revealed - but only with the consent of both parties involved in the agreement.
A survey this week by Agriland found that over 90% of people think that the salaries of high level staff should be made public.
Solicitor Brian O'Reilly has said the issue of confidentiality agreements will have to be overcome if we are to learn the salaries of the IFA top brass.
“The Central issue about stonewalling as it were is confidentiality agreements, confidentiality clauses in agreements, if it’s in the agreement it has to be honoured.
“But it can be waived with the consent of all the parties to the agreement, now apparently there is not that, it doesn’t exist at the moment.”
