Man United interested in Sneijder, says Inter president

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has indicated Manchester United have shown an interest in Wesley Sneijder.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has indicated Manchester United have shown an interest in Wesley Sneijder.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League giants after helping the Netherlands reach the World Cup final in South Africa.

Despite claiming interest from United, Moratti is confident Sneijder will remain with Inter.

“I believe the offer is real,” Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport, “but I have not even wanted to ask too much in order not to be tempted.

“I am enjoying watching him play at the World Cup and I believe I will continue to enjoy his play at Inter for many years.”

Sneijder, 26, who joined Inter from Real Madrid last summer, is under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2013.

Reports in Holland claim Sneijder could sign a two-year contract extension with the Champions League winners after the World Cup.
