A woman in her early forties has been tied up and threatened in her home in Co Louth.

A woman in her early forties has been tied up and threatened in her home in Co Louth.

The incident happened shortly after 9pm last night at a house on Commons Road in Dromiskin.

Three masked men wearing dark clothing entered the house and stole a small amount of cash and some electronic items.

The woman managed to free herself and raise the alarm.

She taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda but later released with minor injuries.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact gardaí.
