A woman in her late 60's has died after her car hit a railway bridge near Paulstown in Co Kilkenny.

A woman in her late 60's has died after her car hit a railway bridge near Paulstown in Co Kilkenny.

The crash happened at around 4pm this afternoon.

The woman was taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny where she was pronounced dead.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056-7754150, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
