A man in his thirties remains in garda custody in connection with an incident in which shots were fired on the day Real IRA boss Alan Ryan's funeral was held.

Ryan was shot dead in the Clongriffin area of Dublin on September 3.

A man was detained last night and is being held at Raheny Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

He is being questioned over the possession and discharge of firearms at Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede, Dublin 13 on September 8 last, and over the activities of dissident republicans in the area.
