New figures show an increase in the number of immigrants moving to Ireland.

New figures show an increase in the number of immigrants moving to Ireland.

The Central Statistics Office says 69,300 people came here in the 12 months to the end of April 2015.

That's up more than 8,500 on the previous year. The data has also recorded a slight drop in emigration.

80,900 people emigrated in the year to the end of April this year, down by 1,000 on the previous 12 month period.
