A hospital consultant has slammed plans to give free GP care to the under 6's, and says it is time for a change of health minister.
Michael O'Keeffe has also branded a proposal to use health care assistants instead of agency nurses for some duties as "outrageous".
He works as a consultant ophthalmologist at the Mater and Temple Street hospitals in Dublin.
Mr O'Keeffe says the free care proposals are "immoral" and unfair to parent of children with cerebral palsy and Down Syndrome who have to pay every day for care.
