A body has been recovered in Co Kerry.

Body discovered in Kerry search for missing man

A body has been recovered in Co Kerry following a search for a man who had been missing since Saturday.

The operation was launched yesterday for the man who is in his 60s, and from Limerick. He was last seen in Ballybunion at noon on Saturday.

The search, involving the Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue assisted by the Ballybunion Coastguard and fire brigade, got under way at around 4pm yesterday afternoon.

The body was recovered in the water of the Long Strand in Ballybunion just before midday.
