Derek Lyng and Aidan Fogarty have recovered from their respective injuries to be named in the Kilkenny team for tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Galway (Croke Park, throw-in 4pm).

Lyng missed the Cats' Leinster final win over Wexford due to a groin injury, while ankle ligament damage also kept Fogarty out of that game.

In all, Brian Cody has made two changes to his side for tomorrow's clash, which is the counties' fourth championship meeting in as many seasons.

Lyng steps back in at midfield to replace Michael Fennelly and Eoin Reid makes way at left corner-forward for Fogarty.

Noel Hickey has been pencilled in to start at full-back despite fears over a leg strain he picked up in training last week, while fit-again forward Richie Power has to be content with a place on the bench.

This is Kilkenny's sixth championship clash with Galway this decade with the Cats winning the 2000, 2004 and 2006 ties. Fans and hurling aficionados are anticipating another high-scoring encounter - the sides' last two matches yielded a total of 14-72 with Kilkenny scoring an incredible 10-60 in their last three meetings with the Tribesmen.

The sides met in the National League this year with Kilkenny winning April's encounter at Nowlan Park by 1-19 to 0-18.

The Cats are bidding to reach the All-Ireland's last-four for the 11th successive year. They last failed to reach the All-Ireland semi-final stage in 1996 when they lost a Leinster quarter-final to Wexford.
