Crosserlough have finally ended their long wait for a Cavan title after beating Kingscourt Stars in the SFC final today.

They secured a five-point victory at Kingspan Breffni Park, with a final score of 0-13 to 0-08.

The pair played out a stunning 2-12 to 2-12 draw last week but today's replay was a much tighter affair.

Patrick Lynch was the leading scorer for the Kilnaleck-based side with five points, two coming from frees. James Smith, who scored three points, put in a man of the match display.

There were chances for both sides and Crosserlough defended very well, holding out for the victory, sparking joyous celebrations from the panel.

In Kildare, Athy defeated Moorefield to claim the Kildare SFC.
