Trick Or Treat is on course to bid for some valuable black type when she travels over to Ireland later this month.
James Given’s progressive filly is set to go for the Kerry Group Noblesse Stakes at Cork on June 17, a Group Three contest over a mile and a half.
The four-year-old completed a five-timer last summer when posting a success over Ormonde Stakes winner Ask at York, and made a pleasing reappearance with an all-the-way win at Haydock recently.
“She did it very well at Haydock so we thought it would be a good idea to go for the Noblesse Stakes,” said Given.
“I think we are going to see an improvement from last year to this year.
“She went and won at Haydock where she didn’t have an easy lead. She had an uncontested lead but it wasn’t an easy lead. Jamie (Mackay) set a proper and good pace and she went an end-to-end gallop.
“It was a fast time and at the three pole all the others were at full stretch.
“The most encouraging thing was she only lost three kilos. Normally she loses eight to 10 kilos in a race.
“It didn’t take a lot out of her which is encouraging which suggests there is more to come from her.”
