The former butler of late British royal Princess Diana clashed live on British TV when daytime presenter Philip Schofield accused him of betraying his former employer and her sons.
Paul Burrell appeared on UK channel ITV's This Morning show to promote his new book The Way We Were, the second book he has written about Diana.
However, Schofield was furious with Burrell, telling him: "It would appear that you were her rock - but now she's your pension."
Schofield was upset with Burrell for his "cynical digs" at Princes William and Harry, who Burrell accused of disloyalty to their mother's memory.
When Burrell attempted to defend himself, Schofield became even more incensed.
He said: "Last time you came on you signed my book and said: 'Thank you for being nice to me.' But this time I'm finding it much harder to be nice to you. You said you are the only spokesperson for Diana because the princes don't speak out for their mother, but you know they don't do that.
"You're using the money from the books about Diana to pay for your pension. It's ostentatious."
