Irishman arrested after Spanish drug seizure

Police in Spain have arrested a 35-year-old Irishman in connection with the seizure of 630 kilos of cannabis near the city of Seville.

Police in Spain have arrested a 35-year-old Irishman in connection with the seizure of 630 kilos of cannabis near the city of Seville.

The man was arrested along with three Britons after the van in which they were allegedly carrying the drugs broke down.

The police were tipped off about the location of the van and kept watch until the driver, a Dubliner, returned to collect it. The three other suspects were subsequently arrested at a nearby hotel.
