Anto Flood returns from suspension but is a doubt for Bohs as he has been struggling with a groin strain.
Chris O’Connor remains out with the facial injury received against Sligo Rovers two weeks ago.
Gypsies boss Pat Fenlon said: “Our home record is not the best and we want to change that if we can.
“Mick has them organised and they’re picking up results. He’s a good manager but it’s taken him a while, he came in late.
“It’ll be a difficult game for us but we expect nothing different from any team in the league.”
Mark O'Brien is suspended for Drogheda after receiving a red card on Tuesday night in the victory over UCD.
Jack Flynn is still out and several players are carrying knocks from Tuesday night and will be assessed before the game.
United boss Mick Cooke said: “Our first home win was a long time coming to be honest, but it's great to have it now.
“The lads are slowly getting there and adapting to the standard of the Premier Division. But we aren't getting carried away just yet.
“It won't be easy to get something from Dalymount. If we get a point I'll be pleased, we have played them twice and they have won both by only a 1-0 scoreline. I will be quietly confident going up there.”
