Morris named as new Dubs hurling manager

Marty Morris has beaten Seamus Murphy to the position of Dublin senior hurling and was today named as Kevin Fennelley's successor.

Marty Morris has beaten Seamus Murphy to the position of Dublin senior hurling and was today named as Kevin Fennelley's successor.

The O'Toole's man brings a wealth of Capital knowledge with him to the job having hurled for Dublin and led Ayrefield to Dublin titles in the mid '90s.

Tommy Ryan of Croabh Chiarian and Mick O'Riordan of St Oliver Plunkett's will form his backroom team.

Morris said: "From the outset I will send a signal to the young players that they are what we are looking for."
