Mumford and Sons to stage Galway festival
Mumford and Sons will stage two festivals this summer.
The band - made up of Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Country Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane - will headline gigs in Huddersfield, England on June 2 and Galway on June 9.
It will be entitled 'The Gentlemen of the Road Stopover', and the group say will allow for fans of music in towns not usually visited by festivals to attend.
Mumford and Sons said: "The Gentlemen of the Road Stopover is based loosely upon our favourite festivals like Colorado's Telluride Bluegrass and Scotland's Loopallu Festivals.
"We want to stop off in towns not usually heavily toured by bands, and celebrate the people, food and music that inhabit them."
In addition the band will be joined by Zulu Winter, The Vaccines and Willy Mason for the day-long event.
They will also be touring the UK in addition to the festivals, with gigs in Cardiff on May 30, Folkestone on May 31, Bury St. Edmunds on June 4, Lowestoft on June 5 and Gateshead on June 6.
