Trained by Michael Stoute, Eleanora Duse finished a length behind Aviate in the Musidora Stakes at York but faced a swarm of similar types in this Listed event.

Ryan Moore, who was to ride three more winners on the card, collared the front-running Deidre with two of the 10 furlongs left and his mount, an 11-4 shot, bounded two and a quarter lengths clear.

Pink Symphony, just behind Eleanora Duse in the Musidora, confirmed the form in second, while 9-4 favourite Lady Darshaan was a touch disappointing in fourth.

Stoute's partner, Coral Pritchard-Gordon, said: "Ryan was very pleased with her and he said that she stayed very well.

"He said that on better ground she could be an even nicer filly and she looks the part."

Lady Weinstock said: "I'm often asked how often I go racing and I always reply, 'Only when they win'."

Daughter-in-law Laura Weinstock added: "This is a real thrill for us. It's the first time Lady Weinstock has won this race and you have to say it was brilliant timing on behalf of the trainer."

There were a handful of interesting events on a grey and rather sleepy afternoon in Berkshire.

Most notable was the other of Moore's winners for Stoute in division one of the sportingbet.com Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Nouriya (8-11 favourite) had shown great promise in both of her previous starts, the latest behind the smart Gertrude Bell at the course in April, and she simply outclassed her rivals.

Pritchard-Gordon added: "To be honest she looks as though some sun on her back would do her good as she has not quite come in her coat.

"Ryan said he's really looking forward to riding her again."

John Gosden recruited Moore for Mujdeya when his stable jockey William Buick had committed to Clive Cox's Miss Miracle before the maiden divided.

The 9-4 favourite ended up an even more emphatic winner of the second leg, taking it by seven lengths.

"My horse Marywell was second in the first division - the winner of that looks smart - so I think we got the much weaker race," conceded Gosden.

Moore helped Jeremy Noseda's team land a touch in the Pertemps Handicap through Lost In The Moment, who was backed into 2-1 favourite despite delivering only a shade of promise from three starts in maidens.

Noseda's representative Alan Tate had to see the stewards and explained the colt had a realistic chance on his last run.

It was a case of experience counting in the Bedford Row Barristers Chambers Maiden Stakes as John Gallagher's Trade Storm built on two decent efforts by turning over the 11-10 favourite Dortmund.

"He's a big, galloping sort and the form from his run at Nottingham was working out well," said Gallagher.

"Maybe it's because we haven't had many two-year-old winners of just because it's me he went off at 12-1!

"He'll probably have just one more run and there's a nice little race at the York Ebor meeting."

Steve Drowne claimed a late double, first helping Roger Charlton's Love Match (7-1) to the first victory of her career in the Bathwick Tyres Newbury Handicap.

"She has taken time, but seven furlongs has helped," said the in-form Charlton.

Hughie Morrison's Domination (7-1) then gave a performance worthy of his name in the Bathwick Tyres Swindon Handicap.
