Cobh Ramblers have secured promotion with a 1-0 win away to Athlone Town.

Cobh Ramblers have secured promotion with a 1-0 win away to Athlone Town.

Ramblers claimed the First Division title with a goal on 73 minutes from defender Kevin Murray. The win means that the Cork side finishes the season one point clear of Finn Harps.

Harps did as best they could on the night with a 3-1 win over Kilkenny City, who finished bottom of the table.

Elsewhere Wexford Youths finished their debut season with a 1-0 win away to Shelbourne, Dundalk came from two behind to defeat Kildare County 4-3 and Monaghan and Limerick 37 played out a 1-1 draw.
