A €1.5m initiative to counter the effects of the expected downturn in tourism next year has been launched by the Shannon and West of Ireland tourism action force.

A €1.5m initiative to counter the effects of the expected downturn in tourism next year has been launched by the Shannon and West of Ireland tourism action force.

The bulk of the money will be spent on marketing programmes.
