Police in the North have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run in West Belfast.

Police in the North have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run in West Belfast.

A 50-year old female pedestrian was knocked down by a maroon-coloured car in the Ballymurphy area at around 9.45pm last night. The woman was taken to hospital with chest and head injuries.

Later that night, a female ambulance technician was injured in an attack after being called to a house in Lincoln Square.

Police removed a maroon-coloured car from the scene and arrested a man in connection with the two incidents.
