St. Pat’s edged up the table tonight with their second win of the season.

Gerard Rowe knocked UCD’s bright start back on its heels by heading home a Keith Fahey free-kick to give St. Pat’s a 13th minutes lead.

Rowe was then involved as Saints’ doubled their lead on 22 minutes.

His shot was parried by UCD keeper Darren Quigley, but Keith Dunne followed up to fire home.

Rowe made it 3-0 on the half hour as UCD looked well beaten. But College staged a second half revival with Alan McNally heading home Alan Mahon’s free-kick on 75 minutes.

Mahon then whipped over another free-kick for substitute Paul Byrne to score and provide a grandstand finish with St. Pat’s holding out for victory.
