Charlton have completed the signing of Burnley striker Andy Gray.
The two clubs agreed an initial fee of £1.5m for the 30-year-old yesterday, but he has moved to The Valley on an emergency loan so that he can be included in their squad to face Watford this evening.
The former Sunderland man will complete a permanent move to the Addicks early next week and he has immediately set his sights on helping his new club to promotion.
He told www.cafc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to be at Charlton and it’s great news that everything has gone through in time for Saturday’s game.
“I’m at the stage of my career where the chance to go to a club that had been in the Premier League for a long time, and has a great chance of getting back there, couldn’t be ignored.
“Everyone wants to play in the Premier League, it’s where I want to play, and hopefully I can help the club get there.”
