Motorists are being warned of dangerous driving conditions again today given another night of freezing temperatures.

Motorists are being warned of dangerous driving conditions again today given another night of freezing temperatures.

Compacted snow, black ice and slush are making driving extremely dangerous and gardaí say people should not drive unless they have to.

Affected roads include the M7 around Portlaoise and Kildare, the N8 between Abbeyleix and Portlaoise, the M6 and N4 in Westmeath, the N80 in Carlow, the N3 in Meath and the N11 in Wicklow and Wexford.

In Dublin, most Dublin Bus services are operating with restrictions in some areas. All Bus Eireann services are operating, apart from the Dublin-to-Rosslare service, which is terminating in Gorey.
