The mystery party behind an approach for telecoms group Kingston Communications was today said to be an American buyout firm.
TheUK-based group revealed yesterday that it was in talks with an unnamed suitor, which newspapers including the Financial Times said was investment group Carlyle.
Carlyle, which was once chaired in Europe by former Prime Minister John Major, specialises in areas such as telecommunications and media, aerospace and defence, healthcare, real estate and technology.
