Lassie to be filmed in Ireland
Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, John O’Donoghue confirmed today the US and UK producers of the new Lassie film have selected Ireland for filming.
This new Lassie movie is a retelling of Eric Knight’s best-selling 1938 novel, “Lassie Come Home”.
Cameras are expected to roll in Ireland beginning this April. Further filming will take place on the Isle of Man, in association with the Isle of Man Film Commission.
Lassie is one of entertainment’s most successful franchises with 10 feature films and more than 675 half-hour TV episodes to her credit.
