Middlesbrough centre-back Ugo Ehiogu returns from suspension to bolster manager Steve McClaren’s squad for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash at Birmingham.

Middlesbrough centre-back Ugo Ehiogu returns from suspension to bolster manager Steve McClaren’s squad for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash at Birmingham.

McClaren still faces problems elsewhere as Aiyegbeni Yakubu is out after requiring eight stitches for a gashed leg sustained in Saturday’s defeat at Tottenham, while fellow striker Szilard Nemeth has an ankle problem.

McClaren remains without summer signing Emanuel Pogatetz, along with Chris Riggott and Stuart Parnaby (both knee), Tony McMahon (dislocated shoulder), as well as Malcolm Christie and Danny Graham (both leg fractures).

Team: Schwarzer, Jones, Reiziger, Ehiogu, Queudrue, Southgate, Bates, Wheater, Boateng, Parlour, Downing, Doriva, Mendieta, Morrison, Hasselbaink, Viduka, Maccarone.
