Leading politicians from Ireland, north and south, attended the funeral of the mother of Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness today.
Former taoiseach Albert Reynolds, Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams and former leader of the nationalist SDLP John Hume were among the mourners at Requiem Mass in St Columba's Church, Long Tower, in Derry.
Peggy McGuinness, 84, died at her Elmwood Street home in the city's Bogside on Monday.
