The Blues skipper, who denies having abused QPR defender Anton Ferdinand in October’s west London derby, start at White Hart Lane but Frank Lampard has been dropped for another big game, with Ramires and John Obi Mikel recalled.
Gareth Bale shakes off an ankle injury to replace Aaron Lennon in the only change for Spurs, with Ledley King and Emmanuel Adebayor also passed fit.
