YOU either love or hate Woody Allen. He’s the kind of director there’s very little middle ground on.
Match Point (Warner, €24.99) was another one to divide the critics, although it must be said there’s enough here to keep viewers enthralled.
This film noir about sexual obsession sees Jonathan Rhys-Meyers playing the role of Irish tennis pro Chris Wilton whose meeting with actress Nola Rice (the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson), already engaged to the posh Tom Hewett (Matthew Goode), has unexpected consequences.
Allen delivers a compelling if flawed film here, with Rhys-Myers and Johansson in great form.
