Connacht face Worcester and Montpellier in Europe

Connacht will face Spanish invitation team Olympus Rugby XV Madrid, Worcester Warriors and Montpellier in Pool 2 of the 2009/10 European Challenge Cup.

Connacht will face Spanish invitation team Olympus Rugby XV Madrid, Worcester Warriors and Montpellier in Pool 2 of the 2009/10 European Challenge Cup.

London Wasps - former winners of both the Heineken Cup and European Challenge Cup - will face Rugby Calvisano, Bayonne and tournament newcomers Racing-Metro 92 in the Pool stages.

The tournament starts on the weekend of October 8-11.

In today’s draw, Bourgoin, the 1997 winners and 2009 finalists, will be up against Leeds Carnegie, Overmach Rugby Parma and Bucuresti Oaks in Pool 2.

The five Tier 1 teams – London Wasps, Saracens, Bourgoin, Newcastle Falcons and Worcester Warriors – were kept apart in separate Pools with only French clubs drawn in the same Pools as they will have eight teams taking part in the competition.
