'The Guard' leads film nominations in IFTAs

RTE's hit drama 'Love/Hate' looks set to clean up at the 2012 IFTAs this year, with ten nominations announced today.

RTE's hit drama 'Love/Hate' looks set to clean up at the 2012 IFTAs this year, with ten nominations announced today.

The best of Irish Film and Television will be in the spotlight when the awards are announced on February 11.

Irish film 'The Guard' has also received an impressive nine nominations, with a further nine for 'Albert Nobbs' and 'Stella Days'.

Acting nominations include Brendan Gleeson for his role in 'The Guard' and 'Albert Nobbs' - with further nominations for Michael Fassbender, Martin Sheen, Saoirse Ronan, Don Cheadle and Amy Huberman.
