Presenters Zoe Ball and Frank Skinner are to be joined by a stuffed monkey at this year's Brit Awards.

The ITV Digital mascot will help conduct backstage interviews with stars such as Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.

It is thought that comedian Johnny Vegas will assist the monkey with the interviews.

They will be shown as part of the Brit awards on February 21, the day after the event is staged, reports say.

The Brit awards take place at Earl's Court in London.

Nominees include Gorillaz, Dido, Hear'Say, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Atomic Kitten.
