A post mortem has been carried out on the body of a 34-year-old man killed in Limerick yesterday.

A post mortem has been carried out on the body of a 34-year-old man killed in Limerick yesterday.

Brian Fitzgerald was shot dead near his home in Limerick yesterday. The area around his home at Brookhaven walk in Corbally is still being examined by Gardai from the technical bureau.

Today's post mortem revealed he died from a number of gunshot wounds to his body.

A motorcycle found burnt out and thought to have been the getaway vehicle is also under investigation.
