The Peace and Neutrality Alliance is organising a major protest in Dublin against the visit of the US President on Friday June 25.

George W Bush is expected to stay overnight at Dromoland Castle, Co Clare, before holding brief talks with the Taoiseach the following day.

He will then move on to Istanbul for Nato talks in Turkey. The Neutrality Alliance will hold its first major protest in Dublin on the evening of June 25. It will start at 7pm in Parnell Square.

A separate protest is understood to be taking place near Dromoland Castle.

Organisers are calling on all Irish people opposed to the war in Iraq to come out and make their feelings known. They say they are confident 100,000 people will protest.
