Saffrons manager Mickey Culbert has made five changes to the side which lost the Ulster SFC quarter-final replay against Cavan.

Two-goal hero against the Breffni men, Paul Doherty is away in America and misses out, as do Michael McCann, Kevin Murray, Shane Devlin and Paddy Logan.

The McGourty brotherers, Kevin and Ciaran, Mark McCrory, Damien Gault and Colin Brady come into Culbert's line-up.

Former All-star Ollie Murphy's participation for Meath has been rated 50-50 due to a foot injury while Daithi Regan, Trevor Giles and Shane McKeigue are definitely ruled out for the Royals.
