Update 9.55pm: Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri will have a medical at Chelsea tomorrow ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge.

Sky report the move to bring Edin Dzeko back to the club is dead.

Elsewhere in London, West Ham have had another offer to buy Tom Cairney rejected by Championship side Fulham.

Dundee manager Neil McCann does not expect anything to come of his interest in Hammers striker Toni Martinez.

Sean Dyche said Burnley have had no enquiries about Ashley Barnes amid speculation Crystal Palace are interested in signing the striker.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino played down reports linking striker Manolo Gabbiadini with a move to Bologna.

The 23-year-old only returned to first club Barca in the summer after spending two seasons at Everton. Though he had struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park, Deulofeu impressed while on loan at AC Milan to persuade Barca to take him back.

Deulofeu becomes the first signing of new Hornets boss Javi Gracia, who took charge of the club on an 18-month contract on January 21, replacing Marco Silva following a downturn in results which the club blamed on interest from Everton in hiring Silva away.

Celtic said they had beaten several other clubs to the signature of the 21-year-old thanks to the influence of manager Brendan Rodgers.

"The Belgian Under-21 internationalist has been a much sought-after player in this transfer window, with many of Europe's top clubs keen to take him on loan," a club statement said.

"However, both the player and his parent club believe that his football development will be best served at Celtic Park under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers."

The 28-year-old Liverpool striker had also been interesting Newcastle, Inter Milan and Sevilla, but the Baggies have won the race for his signature.

Sturridge was born in Birmingham and still has family ties there, and that is believed to have influenced his decision.

Update 8.55pm: Sky report that Tottenham have have had a fee of around £25million agreed with Paris St Germain for Brazil international Lucas Moura.

Sky Sources report tonight that Watford are expected to complete the signing of Barcelona's former Everton striker Gerard Doulofeu on loan tomorrow.

Former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill has rejoined Millwall until the end of the season, the Sky Bet Championship club have announced.

The Australia international has completed his return to the Lions 20 years after starting his career there. The 38-year-old free agent underwent a successful medical earlier today.

Update 8pm: Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman has joined Bundesliga title hopefuls Schalke on loan until the end of next season.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian, who was on loan at Schalke for several months of the 2016-17 campaign, has only made 23 appearances for Chelsea since arriving in west London from Augsburg in 2015.

A statement published on Chelsea's official website announced the 18-month loan deal for Rahman and also said Brazilian forward Nathan had moved to Belenenses in Portugal on loan until the summer.

The 28-year-old has fallen a long way down the pecking order at Anfield and, as a result of injury and subsequent non-selection, has not featured since the Champions League match with Spartak Moscow on December 6.

Inter Milan had wanted to take Sturridge on loan to Serie A and tabled an offer which met Liverpool's demands, but with Sevilla also expressing an interest the player was holding out for other opportunities.

The 21-year-old arrived in Glasgow on Monday morning to sign an 18-month loan deal with the Parkhead club following a medical.

Musonda is slated to go into the Hoops squad for the Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Hearts at Parkhead on Tuesday night.

"Subject to a medical today, it is a really exciting prospect for the club," the Celtic boss said.

"I think there was something up to 24 clubs interested in taking Charly so for him to want to come to here and Chelsea very happily want him to come is a great coup for us as a football club."

West Brom have signed Egyptian defender Ali Gabr on loan from Zamalek until the end of the season.

The Premier League club announced the deal on their official website, and said Gabr would now team up with compatriot Ahmed Hegazi in the Baggies defence.

The Athletic Bilbao defender is poised to complete a transfer to England, with the Blues reported to have triggered a £57million release clause in his contract.

The 23-year-old would provide depth at centre-back for City boss Pep Guardiola, whose spending on defenders since last season would reach £190million if Laporte signs.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still looks likely to move to Arsenal, with the London club now reportedly moving closer to Borussia Dortmund’s valuation of the Gabon international.

The Bundesliga side are said to want around £60million for the 28-year-old.

Conte said: "If you see our squad, we don’t have three, four, five strikers. We have two strikers: (Alvaro) Morata and Batshuayi.

"When you have to play league, Champions League, then FA Cup. If we have also three strikers I think that’s the minimum.

"It doesn’t mean if we take another player Michy has to go on loan, because we have a lot of competitions."
