Matt LeBlanc's Friends spin-off show Joey has been given a boost by American cable channel NBC - it ordered a full season of programs this week.
Joey is America's top-rated new comedy show among adults aged 18-49 and also among total viewers, and came second to NBC's Will & Grace in the overall comedy section amongst 18-49-year-olds.
The series, which also stars Drea De Matteo, has yet to reach the heady heights of Friends, which was so essential to NBC's Thursday night programming - an essential night for lucrative weekend advertising.
CBS' reality show Survivor won its head-to-head battle with Joey and Will & Grace last week - a situation which NBC executives will be keen to reverse soon.
