The Waterford Corporation is taking steps to close their multi million pound bank account with the Bank of Ireland.

The Waterford Corporation is taking steps to close their multi million pound bank account with the Bank of Ireland.

The move is a result of the failure of the bank to meet with a deputation from the Corporation to discuss the forthcoming closure of one of the city’s branches.

The Mayor of Waterford, Alderman Hillary Quinn, says that he will inform the bank today that Waterford Corporation intends to end its dealings with them.
