Bull Run will not be supplemented for the Vodafone Derby after the colt missed a vital piece of work at Newmarket this morning.
Godolphin announced via their website, www.godolphin.com, that the grey son of Daylami’s planned exercise had to be shelved “because he was not moving correctly”.
Bull Run was a 14-1 chance with William Hill for the Epsom Classic, for which connections would have had to pay £75,000 (€112,461) to add him to the field at Monday’s supplementary stage, after winning both his starts by an aggregate of 24 lengths.
He beat Larkwing by nine lengths on his debut at Windsor in April before following up with another facile success in the Weatherbys Blue Riband Trial Stakes over 10 furlongs of the Derby course 16 days later.
Future plans for Bull Run, who has yet to run for Godolphin after being transferred from the care of David Loder, will be announced in due course.
