Open runner-up Thomas Bjorn, New Zealander Michael Campbell and Swede Peter Hedblom went into a three-way play-off for the Nissan Irish Open at Portmarnock tonight.
The trio all finished on the 11-under-par total of 277, Hedblom having sunk a 25-foot par putt on the last after earlier grabbing birdies at the 14th, 15th and 16th.
Campbell led by two with eight to play, but bogeyed the next after taking two in a fairway bunker and, while Hedblom went on his run, Bjorn two-putted the long 16th to join them.
