Resource, the All-Ireland soft services company has acquired Pall Mall, the UK cleaning and security services arm of Carillion plc for £22m (€28.5m), it was announced today.
The deal has created the largest support services company in Ireland with annual revenues of €215m.
The acquisitions was backed by Lioncourt Capital, the Dublin-based investment firm.
Pall Mall, established since 1915, operates throughout England, Scotland and Wales with bases in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Newport, Gwent, employing 7,500 people.
“The acquisition of Pall Mall is a further transformational step for a company that is now one of the fastest growing in the UK and Ireland,” said resource CEO Terence Brannigan.
“It will greatly enhance our capabilities as an outsourcing partner, enabling us to take advantage of the rapidly-growing market for support services that range from cleaning and hygiene to reception and security to car parking management.”
