ALLIANZ NHL DIVISION 2A: Mayo 2-17 Roscommon 0-09

A solid Mayo side grabbed two valuable NHL points thanks to this comfortable win over Roscommon at Athleague.

However they did not have it all their own way.

Playing against a strong gale force wind in the opening half, they held an 0-8 to 0-6 interval lead, with Michael Kelly and Mervyn Connaughton keeping the hosts in touch.

Second-half goals from midfielder Derek McConn (in the 45th-minute) and Enda Collins helped Mayo break free and see out the victory.
