Getaway could bid to follow in the hoofprints of Shirocco after featuring among 14 confirmations for Friday’s Juddmonte Coronation Cup at Epsom.
The five-year-old is trained by Andre Fabre and owned by Baron Georg von Ullman - the same pair who sent Shirocco to claim the 12-furlong prize in 2006.
He is part of a high-class six-day entry that also includes three from Aidan O’Brien’s yard – recent Chester winner Macarthur, last year’s Irish Derby winner Soldier Of Fortune and Song Of Hiawatha.
Godolphin have two possibles in 2007 Champion Stakes victor Literato and Al Shemali, while Sir Michael Stoute has the choice of Papal Bull and Galactic Star, although the latter is due to run in France on Sunday.
Last year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe runner-up Youmzain is Mick Channon’s representative while the line-up is completed by Henry Cecil’s Multidimensional plus Big Robert, Anna Pavlova and Turbo Linn.
