Woman dies following hit-and-run collision

A woman who was critically injured in a car crash in Co Tipperary at the weekend has died.

A woman who was critically injured in a car crash in Co Tipperary at the weekend has died.

28-year-old Siobhan Doyle from Newport had suffered serious head injuries after she was hit by a car at Black Road in Newport on Sunday morning.

Two other women who were also injured in the hit-and-run were released from hospital after treatment.

Gardaí have interviewed a person in connection with this incident and located a car they believe was involved.

Investigations are continuing.
