The ISEQ closed up 57.47 points today at 7726.97.
Irish Life & Permanent gained 45c (2.4%) to €19.45, while Bank of Ireland was up 20c (1.4%) at €14.41.
Anglo Irish Bank closed up 4c at €11.54. Allied Irish Bank, the day’s busiest share, made a gain of 2c to €19.76.
FBD finished the day up 43c (1.1%) at €38.03.
IAWS gained 35c (2.4%) at €15.05. Kerry was up 21c (1.3%) at €16.21.
C&C fell 6c to €8.57. Fyffes was unchanged at €1.42. Fyffes spin-off property company Blackrock has bought 16,000 square feet of modern office accommodation in Milton Keynes in England for €4.5m.
Ryanair fell 5c to €7.55. The airline will start 12 new services from Dublin from December.
CRH was up 2c at €25.72.
Trinity Biotech was unchanged at €1.50. The company’s revenues for the three months to June 30, 2006, increased by 20.3% to $27.3m (€21.2m) compared with the same period in 2005.
