Dublin GAA has been rocked by the news that they will receive just a fraction of the proposed €4.5m from the Strategic Review Committee earmarked for investment in the capital.

Dublin GAA has been rocked by the news that they will receive just a fraction of the proposed €4.5m from the Strategic Review Committee earmarked for investment in the capital.

The row over who distributes the money in the capital has been a huge stumbling block but the news that just €500,000 is to be made available will outrage Dublin GAA chiefs.

County chairman John Bailey said: "The money that has been put on the table is not satisfactory or adequate. Dublin will not take buttons and we cannot be bought off for buttons.”
