The New York Stock Exchange "goes green" today, to celebrate Ireland Day.

The Taoiseach will be on Wall Street later to ring the bell.

The Stock Exchange will host a summit about investing in Ireland. Businessman Denis O'Brien will address it, as will the equity investor Wilbur Ross.

Enda Kenny said the event offered huge opportunities.

"when you put the package of talent, tax, track record and/or technology together, this is unbeatable given what we can offer. For government, it's a case of harnessing all of these.

"I'm going to sell that message very hard in the Stock Exchange and with American business."
